FAQ

Plain answers. The sample counts below are from the Friday, October 23, 2026 file only.

Which trades are covered?

You can sign up for Landscaping & grounds, Janitorial, General facility maintenance, HVAC, Plumbing, Fire protection & life safety, Flooring, Electrical, Pest control, Roofing, and Handyman & repair (includes painting). Painting is part of handyman and repair, not its own trade. Mechanical on the site is HVAC and plumbing together. The full list is on the Trades page.

Construction (small-business set-asides), concrete and foundation, and site prep are not in the digest yet. The Friday, October 23, 2026 sample file has rows for janitorial, HVAC, plumbing, and general facility maintenance only.

Which states are covered?

Pick a state on States. The page covers federal SAM.gov bids performed in that state. Local sources we carry are the NYC City Record under New York, Los Angeles under California, Delaware, and Montgomery County under Maryland. The October 23, 2026 sample has no Los Angeles, Delaware, or Montgomery County row.

The New York, Pennsylvania, and Texas state portals are not covered. Federal SAM.gov bids performed in those states are still included. New York City is the City Record, not the state portal.

Places named on the bids in the Friday, October 23, 2026 sample file: Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Puerto Rico, Texas, and Virginia. That list is the sample file, not the coverage map.

Which state portals are not covered yet?

New York, Pennsylvania, and Texas. We do not treat those state procurement sites as a covered source. A notice in those states can still be in the digest when it is on SAM.gov or on a city or county feed we pull.

The October 23 sample names some New York State Contract Reporter notices in plain text and does not link to them. That same file also contains PA eMarketplace links. Those links are in the file. They are not a new coverage promise.

What does the 14-day trial include?

Fourteen days of the weekday digest for the plan, trades, and area you submit. No card is required to start. After the trial, State is $39 a month, Region is $69 a month, and All US is $129 a month. This site does not take payment.

How do I cancel?

Email hello@bidscoutdaily.com and say cancel. We stop the digest. You can cancel during the trial or later.

Can I change trades or area?

Yes. Email hello@bidscoutdaily.com with the new trades, state, or region. We use the update on a later digest, after the change is made.

When does the email arrive?

6:30 AM ET on weekdays. Your first digest arrives at 6:30 AM ET on the next weekday after you sign up.

Do I apply or bid through you?

No. You always confirm the details and submit on the official listing. If a row has no link, it is named with the agency so you can find it yourself. We do not submit bids for you.

Are you a government agency?

No. Bid Scout Daily is not a government agency and is not affiliated with any government agency.

How accurate is the digest?

It is a reading list, not the solicitation. Dates, addenda, and requirements change. Always confirm them on the official listing before you bid. We drop expired bids and duplicates when we build an issue. We can still miss a bid or include one that does not fit your work.
